雷鋒故居位于湖南省長(zhǎng)沙市望城區(qū)。1940年12月18日，雷鋒出生在這里，并在此度過(guò)了他苦難的童年。雷鋒故居始建于清朝宣統(tǒng)年間，原為地主給佃戶建的莊屋，現(xiàn)保存的三間茅草屋是新中國(guó)成立后黨和人民政府分給雷鋒的房屋。

Lei Feng's former residence is located in Wangcheng District, Changsha city, Hunan Province. Lei Feng was born here on December 18, 1940, where he spent his miserable childhood. The residence was firstly built during the reign of Emperor Xuantong in the Qing dynasty. It used to be a house for peasants. However, today's thatched hut was distributed to Lei Feng by the Party and government after liberation.

貧困的家庭環(huán)境與坎坷的童年經(jīng)歷孕育了偉大的雷鋒精神。雷鋒生前在日記里寫(xiě)道：“我就是長(zhǎng)著一個(gè)心眼，我一心向著黨，向著社會(huì)主義，向著共產(chǎn)主義。”正因?yàn)閾碛谐绺呃硐牒蛨?jiān)定信念，雷鋒把平凡的工作與黨和國(guó)家的利益緊密結(jié)合在一起，無(wú)怨無(wú)悔地奉獻(xiàn)自己的所有。

The great Lei Feng spirit is attributed to the poor family as well as his bumpy childhood experiences. Once, Lei Feng wrote in his diary that he would believe in the Communist Party of China, socialism and communism with all his heart. It was his lofty ideals and convictions that enabled him to closely combine his ordinary work with the interests of the Party and the country, and to devote himself to the country.

多年來(lái)，長(zhǎng)沙始終把學(xué)雷鋒作為一種情感來(lái)守護(hù)、一個(gè)傳統(tǒng)來(lái)弘揚(yáng)、一份責(zé)任來(lái)?yè)?dān)當(dāng)。奮戰(zhàn)在各行各業(yè)的雷鋒志愿者，立足長(zhǎng)沙這片紅色熱土，與時(shí)代同行，與幸福同行，為現(xiàn)代化新長(zhǎng)沙建設(shè)發(fā)熱發(fā)光。

Over the years, Changsha has attached great importance to learning from Lei Feng, which is a kind of appreciation to be memorized, a kind of virtue to be inherited, and a kind of responsibility to be shouldered. Therefore, volunteers from all walks of life are promoting the Lei Feng spirit and making contributions to the modernization of Changsha on this red land in the new era.
